Founder's Story
Learn how God's faithfulness and mercy in the life of one woman led to the founding of The Daughters of Zion Foundation.

Hello There...
My name is Bria Isaac, and I am the Founder and Executive Director of The Daughters of Zion Foundation, a healing and deliverance minister, and the author of The Intimacy Journey. But my most cherished title is this: I am a Child of the Living God. I am His handiwork, and I was created to glorify Him. I did not always know this, but I am so grateful to know it today. I believe this is the greatest title we will ever have, and I pray that you know it too. One day, all the titles I listed above will fade, but Child of God will remain. It is the greatest one, and it will remain for all who call on the name of Jesus and believe. I wanted to share just a bit of my story and how The Daughters of Zion Foundation came about. My prayer is that this story does not glorify its earthly founder, but its Heavenly One. I know that He founded this work, and He will always remain its foundation. I am simply grateful to be a part of what He is doing.
How it all began...
In February 2023, I finally surrendered and gave my life to the Lord. I say finally because, looking back, I can see that the Lord had always been calling me. I grew up Christian, so I knew of Jesus, but I did not have a relationship with Him. In fact, I didn't know anyone who did. I believed that God did not speak—that He left us the Bible and we just had to figure it out. Most of the Christians around me lived lives that looked nothing like Christ, and I was right in that pot with them. I had no desire to change, but somewhere inside of me, I knew there had to be more.
When I was twenty-two years old, I fell on hard times and became homeless. I slept on public buses, in elevators, in people's cars, outside, and sometimes I didn't sleep at all. One day, a friend gave me money for a motel. I was able to rest that night, but morning came quickly, and I was right back to trying to figure out where I would go. While sitting in the hotel lobby, a woman approached me and asked if I was “working.” Naively, I answered, “No, I don't work here.” I quickly learned that by working, she meant prostituting. I told her no. But as we continued talking, I eventually shared that I had nowhere to go. She told me she would take care of me. At a time when I had nowhere to sleep, I felt cared about. I felt seen. She fed me, gave me fresh towels to bathe, and let me sleep in the extra bed in her hotel room. I soon learned that she prostituted, but I remember thinking, I won't judge her. She's the only person who wanted to help me. A few days later, a man walked into the room who I learned was her pimp. He was very nice to me, and in him I saw something I desperately wanted from my own father at the time—a man who would look after me.
That day I began prostituting.
For years, I lived with shame and regret. My family and I never spoke about that part of my life, but inside, I was dying because of it. In the years that followed, I became extremely promiscuous. But through all of it, the Lord never forgot about me. There was one prayer I would pray again and again: “Lord, have mercy on me.” And He did.
In November 2022, the false life I had built came crumbling down. I sought therapy thinking it would help me “go back to normal,” but there was something happening inside of me that I couldn't shake. I didn't know what it was at the time.
It was the Lord's tug.
On February 14, 2023, I heard the voice of God for the first time. It wasn't loud like I thought it would be. It sounded like a whisper. He asked “Do you have unconditional love?” I realized that I didn't. And although I had never heard His voice before, my spirit knew it was God speaking to me. That day, I surrendered. I told Him, “I give up. I surrender. I'll do whatever You want me to do, but You have to fill this void. Please love me.”
Since that day, I have experienced the love of God in a way I cannot fully explain with words. He has healed me, fathered me, and redeemed me. I spent so much of my life looking for something that only He could give me, and when I finally surrendered, I found that the Father I needed had been calling me all along.
In July 2023, the Lord told me to move to Houston, Texas. I did not know why, but I wanted to obey.
In December of that same year , He told me why. He said “I am going to use you to get My daughters off the streets.” I knew I had the gift of helps, and I wanted to help. He placed His desire in my heart and I became passionate about this cause.
And this is how The Daughters of Zion Foundation was born.
While we have a heart for women in sex trafficking and prostitution, we exist to love women in all walks of life. It is our goal to walk alongside them, and to remind them through scripture and Christ-like love that their circumstances do not determine their worth. Whether she is affected by prostitution, trafficking, homelessness, financial crisis, or simply finds herself in a season where she needs someone to walk beside her, she is worthy of being seen, loved, and cared for because God has said so.
This foundation was born from the heart of a Father who never forgot His daughter.
He founded it. He is the foundation of it. And I am simply grateful that I get to say yes.
